This year the largest European professional forum of Intelligent Transportation Systems was organized in Eindhoven, where there were 150 exhibitors and almost 3000 visitors during the event, from 2nd to June 6th.
Our delegation spent their time actively during the congress. Chief Executive Officer József Attila Szilvai received the grant agreement for the “C-Roads 2 Hungary” project from Dirk Beckers, director of INEA. The project ensures cooperation between the European countries, ministries, road administrations and Traffic Information System providers.
In the first stage of C-Roads, Hungarian Public Roads establishes communication between vehicles and infrastructure on the highway network, and according to the agreement, the experimental system in Zalaegerszeg will be extended to urban junctions with traffic lights. The main goal of the project is to enable the execution of test situations of autonomous and connected mobility of the ZalaZone test track under real conditions, using the roads and junctions operated by Hungarian Public Roads.
Head of department of Intelligent Transportation Systems Máté Verdes and Head of section for Traffic Management Tamás Attila Tomaschek gave four presentations. They presented the current state, the results and planned developments of multiple projects co-financed by the European Union (C-Roads Hungary, CROCODILE 2.0_HU, TN-ITS Go).
