Our company was invited to take part in a project of a consortium cooperation financed from CEF-funds (Programme Support Action for ITS for roads). The grant is intended for the maintenance, adaptation and further development of the European ITS Framework Architecture, in line with the Regulation No 1316/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The amount of the grant is 1,200,000 EUR. The project mainly consists of technical workshops and dissemination activities. The main tasks to be carried out during the 4 year period are the review of technical specifications for roads, the assessment of specifications, ITS framework modelling and equipment development. 10 partners are involved in the cooperation coordinated by the consortium coordinator.
The total cost of the project amounts to 90,000 EUR, the aid intensity is 80%, thus Hungarian Public Road Nonprofit Pte Ltd Co.submitted an application for 72,000 EUR. The grant was awarded for the project, the contract has been concluded. The work is carried out in working groups that meet semi-annually or quarterly and communicate via e-mails and telephone conferences. The procurement procedure for the technical support related to the development of the European ITS framework system has been launched.
On 9 March 2018, a technical workshop was organized in Budapest, whereby Hungarian user needs and comments on the topic were discussed. On 2-3 May 2018, a work committee meeting was held in Vienna. One of the meeting’s priority topic was the inclusion of National Access Points into the FRAME project, whereby Austrian, German and Dutch models were presented. The procurement procedure “Technical supporting activity for the development of the European ITS framework system” has been launched, the project will be completed in 2021.
